Polystyrene Based EPS Sheet – Technical Specifications

When polystyrene raw material comes into contact with water vapor, granules swell and stick together thanks to the pentane gas it contains, and thus EPS sheets are formed. These sheets, which can be produced in various sizes and technical features depending on the area of ​​use and purpose, are especially preferred for thermal insulation purposes.

• Thermal conductivity declared value: 0.032 ≤ λ ≤ 0.040 W/mK
• Water vapor diffusion resistance factor: μ = 20–100
• Usage temperature: Between -50°C and +75°C
• Capillary absorbency: None
• Chemical resistance: Resistant to acids and bases; however, sensitive to flue gases, methane group gases, gasoline derivatives, ether, ester and amine group chemicals.
• UV sensitivity: Sensitive to ultraviolet rays of the sun.
• Fire performance: Class E according to TS EN 13501-1 standard.
• Quality documents: Manufactured in facilities with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certificates issued by BSI.
• Standard compliance: Subject to TS EN 13163 standard and carries the CE mark within the framework of 305/2011/EU Construction Materials Regulation.
